Weekly Update: by Oliver and Danielle
This week is the last week of our jobs. We finished a story that we started a month ago, it's a real life story. Now we are starting with a book about countries. In math we are learning rounding and multiplication. We went to the 5th grade bizarre on Friday.

Personal Narratives!
Congratulations, 4th and 5th graders! Our first writing assignment is complete!
Personal Narrative books go home tomorrow.
We have just concluded our first Writer's Workshop - the Personal Narrative. Each student completed the writing process (prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing) a piece about themselves and their lives.
During this unit, we worked on establishing classroom systems and routines by working independently and by writing daily. Students focused on stamina, collaboration, and improving their writing.
Monday we will begin our next Writer's Workshop theme: research papers!

2nd week of school
This week was the second week of school. We got a new class pet, his name is Gloomes. Danielle and Adrienne found him on the balcony.
We are now preparing for tonight because it's back to school night and we wrote a letter to are parents.
We all have class jobs and this is one of the jobs - we are writing something about in the past.
We are really excited about the back to school night.
This is the blog.
